FIXED-TERM 14-MONTH CONTRACT - 22.5 HOURS PER WEEK Are you a keen, dynamic paediatric nurse with a passion for caring for children with diabetes? An exciting part time opportunity has arisen at GWH for a nurse to join our Paediatric Diabetes Nursing Team on a fixed term contact (14 months). We are seeking a highly motivated nurse with good knowledge and understanding of the management of childhood diabetes, who is committed to working with and educating/supporting children, young people and their families. This is an opportunity to consolidate and progress your knowledge while being a key member of the diabetes team sharing our vision of improving the health outcomes of children and young people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The post holder will work alongside and support the Lead Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide an effective and supportive service to children and young people with diabetes, their families and carers, in both hospital and community settings. They will provide clinical guidance and expert knowledge in assessing, implementing and evaluating the needs of this patient group. They will provide specialist clinical skills, teaching, education, support and leadership to enable families, carers and other professionals, in all settings, to engage in managing the needs of the children and young people to achieve the best quality life, health and wellbeing whilst living with diabetes.
