Some previous experience as an Activity Coordinator may be beneficial. You will be part of a dedicated MDT delivering high quality care and rehabilitation to patients and to support their discharge home. Experience of working in a hospital setting is preferable, however a full induction programme will be provided for the successful applicant. Applicants should be creative and engaging with good communication and interpersonal skills. You should have high levels of empathy and resilience and be happy working within a wider team of mixed professionals in an environment which can be demanding. Under the guidance of the Therapy Team Leader and you will be expected to assist in the design and development of a range of therapeutic activities for patients. As part of your role you will be required to use your own resourcefulness, engage, form rapport and motivate people to participate in activities. Candidates should be respectful, compassionate, creative and have good communication and problem solving skills, Experience of working with people with cognitive impairments and mental health conditions is desirable but not essential.
