You will be working Cross site across the three main hospital sites, Central Middlesex, Ealing and Northwick park hospital. We are a friendly, forward thinking warm and expanding team. You will be an enthusiastic individual with demonstrable experience of working in healthcare environments, with a warm personality and great people skills. The post holders will be well-motivated and innovative, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to manage both time and workload. They will be responsible for providing Adult audiology hearing aid repairs and stock control You should have GCSE English and Maths grade C or above; with demonstrable experience of working in healthcare environments. Duties and Responsibilities: The role requires IT skills, ability to work autonomously and to interact in empathetically manner with patients with hearing loss. You will be seeing patients for routine hearing aid repair and maintenance , making any necessary adjustments patient hearing aids and impression taking. Ordering and maintaining Audiology stock across all sites. Auditing stock levels. You will carry out various administrative duties, which includes scanning of patient referrals and reports, daily checks of both Adult and Paediatric email inboxes, responding to emails or forwarding to relevant service. A clear speaking voice is essential when working with Deaf and hard of hearing people. Assists with clinical supervision and training of junior staff and students. Updates own professional knowledge, keeping abreast of new digital hearing aid technology, assessment techniques and best clinical practice. This post is clinical where post holder will be running independent hearing aid repair clinics. This post also include (but not exhaustive to) administrative duties such as reception and telephone duties and organising clinics and appointments. There will also be a requirement to undertake timely and efficient co-ordination of hearing aid and operational stationary stock control, including sending and receiving hearing aids for repair and refurbishment. Liaising with other services and stakeholders and ensuring up to date and accurate record keeping of all related paper and computerised documentation is maintained. Where identified, training will be provided to perform with distance supervision some additional clerical and clinical tasks such as providing counselling advice, impression taking, and performing a telephone follow-up service.
