An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of a dedicated team providing cancer care at Hereford County Hospital. As a Healthcare Support Worker in the Macmillan Renton Cancer Unit you will assist clinical teams to provide care and support patients through their cancer journeys. You will be trained in supporting with breast care procedures, chaperone, performing phlebotomy as an essential skill and any other skills that are required of you as a supporting HCA in MRU. To support the activities of the Macmillan Renton Unit (MRU) in the provision of cancer care, e.g. outpatient breast clinic. To work under the direct/indirect supervision of and in support of the Consultant, registered nurse and or the registered Allied Health Professional carrying out delegated nursing and non-nursing duties to promote patient centred care. To ensure that all duties required to assist the clinician performing the clinic are completed in a timely manner to ensure the best patients experience possible.
