Position An opportunity has arisen for a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician based between University Hospitals Ayr & Crosshouse, Woodland View and GP practice within North Ayrshire depending of rotation, fixed-term for 2 years . Hours 37 Hours per week In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and or an extended working day. What You Will Do This is a rotational 2 year fixed term cross sector post which offers experience in all aspects of Primary Care Pharmacy Team work within GP Practices and care homes including: medicines reconciliation, non-clinical medication reviews, medication management advice & reviews within care homes and hospital pharmacy including: automated dispensing services, distribution, ward services, preparation of cytotoxics, adult and neonatal TPN and CIVAS. You will assist the Pharmacy Technician Team Manager in the provision of an effective pharmaceutical service to patients and staff in NHS Ayrshire & Arran by performing those tasks within the service that require a high degree of technical expertise. You will be supported in attaining your SVQ in Pharmacy Service at level 8 and a PDA in Pharmacy Services at level 7. You will also complete a comprehensive in-house training package all of which are required in order to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
