We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this position is 4/7shifts- this includes nightshift, public holidays and weekends. An exciting opportunity has arisen within North East Mental Health In-patients, in Stobhill Hospital. Whilst you will provide a service to the site you will be based within Older People Mental Health (OPMH). This post provides an excellent opportunity for a health care support worker to work within older people’s mental health. The post holder will be a crucial part of the nursing team, working alongside registered nurses providing care and treatment for people with acute mental health conditions. You will work alongside a wider multidisciplinary team. You should demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. Inpatient Services Provide Mental Health Nursing Care For People requiring acute mental health care (i.e. older adults & adult) People requiring specialist mental health care (e.g. specialist dementia care/ intensive mental health care/ rehabilitation etc.) People requiring continued period of assessment, care and treatment for complex mental health care needs.
