We have clinics across the county, operating Mondays to Fridays, 08:30am to 4:30pm This position offers a wide variety of administration duties and the opportunity to extend your knowledge of the administration side of the Special Care Dental Service. You will need to be competent in using information technology. A dental software package is used in our clinics and full training will be given. Previous dental or medical reception/administration experience would be an advantage. The successful applicant will be based at the Worthing Special Care Dental Centre currently in Liverpool Gardens and soon to be moving into the brand new Worthing Integrated Care Centre. This is a three day post (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). The successful applicant may also occasionally be required to cover leave or absence at the Jubilee Dental Centre, St Richards Hospital. Ring all patients prior to their appointment to remind them to help reduce the number of Failed to Attends (FTA’s). Keep a short notice cancellation list to hand to be able to fill any appointments that became available. process all patient referrals, including updating the patient status within the e:referral system adhering to the 18 week rule New patient waiting list to be kept up to date and reviewed on regular basis, ensuring waiting time standards are adhered to.
