Location: Various locations across Aberdeen City (not based at Marischal College) Duration: Casual/Relief - as and when basis Roles that require PVG Membership Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,727 per annum / £15.97 per hour) The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment. Are you looking to take on extra work to supplement your income or looking for the flexibility to work hours to fit yourself. We have opportunities on our relief pool for Cleaners at various locations across the city, with varying number of hours and flexibility on when hours can be worked. The postholder will be responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning duties to a specified standard. Full training, uniform and PPE will be provided. About The Role To carry out cleaning duties to the hours and standard defined by the Service including opening and closing of buildings where applicable and ensuring work areas are left in a safe and secure manner. Requirements The post holder needs to hold as a minimum: Either has or is able to achieve within 3 months of commencement a suitable standard of cleaning as determined by the Service, and be competent in the use of equipment and materials used. PVG membership (Disclosure Scotland check) Responsibilities The post holder is expected to demonstrate: Appropriate level of health and fitness to carry out the tasks of the job Competency in the use of all equipment issued. Competency in the use of all cleaning products used.
