NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. We are looking to recruit a further 4 Health Care Support Workers on 12 hours a week to join our GP Out of Hours (OOH) services. The shift pattern is; evening, overnights, weekends and public holidays. We are looking for dynamic, flexible, enthusiastic individuals who will enjoy a challenging environment, are motivated and compassionate, to work within our GP OOH Service. The post holder may at times be expected to work autonomously and as part of a wider team and be actively involved in the daily running of the GP OOH services. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out specific care duties for patients, delegated by a registered nurse or other relevant medical professional. Being flexible to work as the situation and service requires would be an essential aspect of this post. You should have experience in a clinical or outpatient setting. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa.
