The role involves working alongside a team of pharmacy technicians, within a larger MDT, providing pharmacy services to the Cardiff and Vale Mental Health services. Whilst ACT and Medicines Management qualifications are required for this post, we welcome applicants who wish to work towards these qualifications and full training will be provided. During training the contract will be Annex 21: 75% of a Band 5 for up to 12 months until qualifications in the ACT is achieved. This post is for Band 4 or Band 5 dependent on having ACPT qualification in secondary care. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Mental Health team as a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician based at Hafan y Coed, Llandough Hospital. The right candidate will be a key member of a busy team, dealing with a range of issues in a fast paced environment. The post holder will be required to work accurately and proactively to deliver high quality support as part of the Medicines Management Team to both inpatients and service users based in community mental health teams, The post holder will be expected to use their initiative in ensuring matters are dealt with efficiently and appropriately. At times, the post holder may be dealing with highly sensitive matters and confidentiality will be essential. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
