Please note this post will be located with our team at York Hospital, and is up to a 12-month fixed term contract. As a member of the team, you will assist with managing waiting lists for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, working in accordance with National and Trust access policies and guidance. This post is varied and includes contact with patients and the many Health Care Professionals associated with the endoscopy pathway. We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an environment where demands and priorities change quickly. We are looking for someone with a minimum of one year experience working in a patient/customer focused environment. You must be well organised, able to work on your own initiative and demonstrate confidence in independent decision making. We look forward to receiving your application. You must seek approval from your current line manager prior to applying for a secondment To monitor the waiting list and work-list on a daily basis to ensure national and local waiting times are met and patients have access to healthcare in line with their clinical need. To co-ordinate admission and associated pre-operative assessment clinics, ensuring all key hospital staff are aware of organisational arrangements ahead of the scheduled procedure. To be the first point of contact for endoscopy patients, answering enquiries and rescheduling appointments as required. To ensure that scheduling issues are resolved in a timely matter and patients do not experience undue delay. To ensure that information regarding endoscopy procedures and hospital attendance are passed to patients as required. To arrange interpretation services for all relevant appointments.
