Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a permanent Treasury Assistant for 30 hours per week within a busy finance department.This post is part of a small team to support the Senior Treasury Officer to ensure all Treasury and Financial Accounting functions are carried out and all accounting standards are adhered to along with all Policies and Procedures approved by the Trust. Dependant on the needs of the business the Treasury duties could be carried out in the Treasury Office at the Birmingham Children's Hospital, the Birmingham Women's Hospital or remotely from home. A key rotational role will be to ensure the Cashiers Office at both the Women's and Children's Hospitals are fully manned and operational within the opening hours determined by the Chief Financial Officer. You should be bright, enthusiastic and working towards AAT qualification or CCAB qualification is desirable. You should have good communication skills and computer skills. You must be confident, professional, customer focused, resourceful, and be capable of prioritising your workload to meet strict deadlines dictated by a challenging environment. A key rotational role will be to ensure the Cashiers Offices are fully manned and operational within the opening hours determined by the Chief Financial Officer. There is a Cashiers Office located in both the Birmingham Children's Hospital and Birmingham Women's Hospital. Dependent on the needs of the business cover needs to be given to both sites. The Cashier role involves Customer Service to patients, staff and liaising with Cash carriers. Work with the Trust's Internal Auditors when the Treasury Department is audited, sharing processes and procedures. This will require implementing any proposed recommendations within agreed timescales. Resolving frequent queries received from third parties such as HMRC, Courts, Payroll, patient's families, staff and visitors. This will often necessitate changing from one task to another in order to obtain the specific information required within a given deadline. "}
