About the Role At Acorns Childrens Hospice we offer specialist palliative care and support for children and their families across the West Midlands. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. Our aim at Acorns is to help families feel equipped to cope at every stage of their childs life with dedicated teams offering psychological, emotional and practical support. As a Lead Practice Educator, you will: Design lesson plans and training resources to ensure standardisation of care education across all Acorns hospices Collaborate with Senior Leaders and hospice teams to develop the education simulation and clinical skills portfolio Facilitate provision, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of clinical skills Lead a small team of Practice Educators to deliver training Network with other organisations and experts to share and develop best practice About You Qualified healthcare professional with a recognised teaching/education qualification (or working towards) Evidence of post registration experience and CPD activity Experience producing and delivering clinical education and training Sound understanding of clinical skills including IV therapy, patient assessment skills and airway management Ability to travel independently across the Acorns region What We Offer £43,000 to £49,000 per annum 37.5 hours per week Based from your nearest Acorns Hospice (Walsall, Worcester or Birmingham) with travel across all sites Employee discounts from leading retailers Employee gym discount scheme Bike-to-Work scheme Generous contribution to group personal pension plan or continuation of current NHS pension scheme NHS pension scheme life assurance or Acorns group life assurance scheme Interviews are scheduled to be held on 29 October You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
