Effective management, communication and leadership skills are essential for this role and the individual must be adaptable to service needs and be able to demonstrate initiative and possess a proactive approach to improving standards of practice, education and skills within the ward. The successful candidate must have a proven ability in supervising, managing and controlling the activities of the unit in an effective and efficient manner. You will be a clinical role model and have a willingness to contribute to the development of the team as well as your own professional growth. You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike. You must have a minimum of two years post registration and a surgical background is desirable. Coordination of the ward, ensuring standard work on the ward is carried out.
