The job will be embedded within the R and D dept of the oncology division and is predominantly an outpatient role. The postholder will be responsible for assessing and treating patients on a range of commercial and non-commercial clinical trials across multiple tumour types. The postholder will work with the clinical director and divisional research lead to develop a final timetable which is stimulating for them and effective in supporting our departmental research aims. Main duties of the job Review and treatment of patients who are being treated within clinical trials. Completing trial documentation following patient treatment and assessment. Liaison with local principal investigators to ensure safe and effective implementation of clinical trial protocols. Liaison with local principal investigators and more widely with other members of the R and D team to assist in the assessment and set up of new clinical trials within RSFT. All medical and dental staff are expected to undertake quality improvement, audit and other governance activities as part of their role and in support of revalidation.
