This role is ideal for those who are eager to explore and contribute to the field of medical teaching. Minimum experience of 4 years postgraduate, with at least 2 of those years in the acute specialties, to include Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, ITU and Anaesthetics and at least 1 year of NHS working, along with educational exposure are essential requirements for this post. In this role, the successful candidate will not only be involved in the front-line dynamics of our Emergency Department but will also dedicate time to educational activities. This balance ensures a rich, dual-faceted experience, combining clinical excellence with educational innovation. The educational aspect of the role will mainly focus on the development and implementation of training programs for medical students and junior medical staff, nurturing the next generation of medics. The hours will be 40-42 average per week - ED shifts combined with protected time for the Education role, approximately 50/50 split. We understand the importance of continuous professional development.
