Nye Bevan Unit specialises in the care of patients with a range of Surgical conditions. The unit provides care for the following specialties: upper gastro-intestinal, colorectal & general surgery, ear nose & throat, head & neck, plastics, urology and trauma & orthopaedics. The unit runs a Same Day Emergency Clinic (SDEC) for ambulatory surgical patients. Main duties of the job We are looking for an experienced and motivated nurse practitioner, who is enthusiastic about delivering excellent care to our patient group and has the motivation to build and drive the service forward. The Unit has an excellent team of Nursing, Medical and Support staff who have extremely high standards and give exemplary patient care. Each member of the team endeavours to ensure that our patients receive the best experience possible all the while demonstrating the Trust core values of being caring, excellent, responsible and respectful. As the Nurse Practitioner you will work autonomously with the support of the multidisciplinary team to assess and manage emergency and ambulatory surgical presentations. This is an evolving and fast paced service ideal for you to strengthen your physical assessment skills, investigation interpretation and further management of your patients.
