In the unit systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) is administered IV, alongside supportive treatments such as blood and platelet transfusions. The team is looking for an enthusiastic SACT trained nurse to support and provide the chemotherapy treatment to our patients. To collaborate between Christie sites across the Greater Manchester area as required To manage, lead and motivate Band 5, 4 and 3 staff ensuring compliance of mandatory training and appraisal requirements. In the absence of the Senior Sister/charge nurse/Matron to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the SACT Unit. To ensure a positive focussed service incorporating patients ‘feedback to maintain and improve patient care. To act as an effective role model promoting excellence through practice.
