Vacancies.W94025@wales.nhs.uk Clinical skills and competency relevant to the role e.g Phlebotomy experience. Desirable- Administration of influenza, intramuscular/ intranasal, pneumococcal vaccine, B12 injections. New patient health checks. Urinalysis, preparation of specimens for investigation by the pathology laboratory. Venepuncture, ECG,Peak flow readings, Spirometry, inhaler technique,glucose tolerance test, blood pressure,temperature, height and weight-body mass index. Good interpersonal skills ,proven customer care skills. Duties and responsibilities: Phlebotomy. Processing and management of laboratory samples via GPTR system as requested by GPs/nurses. Perform ABPI on patients when requested by GP as per protocol. Administer influenza, shingles, pneumococcal, B12 vaccines to eligible patients as outlined in practice protocol. Basic wound care (dressings) under guidance of GP/Practice Nurses. ECG recording. New patient health checks. Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording. Chaperoning duties. Assisting partners during minor operations clinics. Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation. Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms. Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being. Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual. Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted. Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being. "}
