It's an exciting time to join #TeamLNWH This is a rare, sought-after opportunity to join the supportive and dynamic Occupational Therapy team across Northwick Park Hospital, Ealing Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital. Working within the acute therapy teams, you'll have countless opportunities to learn and develop your skills while working with medical professionals and experts in their field. As a Band 4 Occupational Therapy Practitioner you will be required to take part in delivering a quality service under the supervision and guidance of qualified therapists. You will need to have an enthusiastic and hard-working approach, be passionate about patient care, have excellent communication/ interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a large team providing service to several wards. Please note we are a 7-day service therefore candidates are required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. You are also required to be able to attend homes for community visits. Successful applicants will receive clinical supervision, a competency framework to support induction and self-development, in-service-training and be supported with an individualised job plan. The post holder will work closely with the ward therapy staff/MDT, to assess, treat and actively be involved in organising discharge planning for the patient's admitted to the acute wards. The ultimate aim of providing an OT service to these patients relates to promoting their function and independence in occupational performance areas, and to facilitate safe discharges. The post holder will be asked to work in other areas occasionally to cover and support staff absences or service needs. They will receive formal supervision from a Senior OT and participate in in-service training and team meetings. "}
