This is a full-time locum role offering £18.40 per hour As a personal advisor for leaving care, you will be working with a group of amazing young people who come from diverse backgrounds and who have a range of life experiences. You will work closely with the permanence service to provide tailored support, accurate guidance and advice on transition planning for young people leaving care. You will be confident, proactive, and able to work in partnership with all multi-agencies to ensure you achieve the best outcomes. Responsibilities To contribute to the Leaving Care Service to best meet the individual and collective needs of young people using the service. To provide a personal advisor function, in line with the Children Leaving Act and associated regulations and guidance, to young people who qualify for such assistance To ensure that all eligible, relevant, and formerly relevant children have comprehensive pathway plans, and these are regularly reviewed. Applicant Requirements Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent Experience: Direct experience working with young people in, or leaving, the care system Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and 2 x references. Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently. Hours: 35 hours p/w.
