This is a full time , permanent role. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work in a calm, logical, organised and methodical way whilst being able to multi-task in a busy environment. The role to work under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN) at all times, working to support and assist the delivery of, high quality, safe, dignified and compassionate healthcare, to all patients in Macmillan Unit. This role also involves working closely with colleagues within the center, Cancer services including Cancer Nurse Specialists and Cancer Support Workers . To play a central role within the Macmillan Unit and to work in close liaison with Patients, colleagues, staff in other departments and the general public. Also to ensure that all Outpatients/Treatment Units areas are ready to receive patients and other members of the clinical team. To Consistently ensure that the privacy, dignity and psychological needs of both the patients and their families are maintained at all times.
