Your responsibilities as a Specialist Occupational Therapist will include: Accepting clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of residents, and to organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time and supporting junior therapists in this process. Formulating and delivering an individual Occupational Therapy management and treatment programme based on specialist knowledge of clinically reasoned and evidence-based practice and treatment options. Employ advanced clinical assessment, knowledge and reasoning skills to provide treatment using a broad range of techniques and other alternative options. Taking responsibility and overseeing the clinical OT supervision, education and performance of more junior members of therapy staff, students (when present), and therapy assistants. Undertake the supervision/appraisal of these staff groups, ensuring that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
