We have multiple posts with negotiable hours. Treatment for patients varies greatly from curative chemotherapy to palliative and end of life care, focusing on a holistic approach throughout. Supporting General Medical patients with all aspects of care and discharge planning. Although fast paced this is an incredibly rewarding ward to work in. Staff in this friendly and supportive team develop a wide range of nursing skills and knowledge. The Anchor Unit as a whole, is sociable, fast moving and progressive; actively supporting and promoting nurse led activities, development and further study; offering excellent opportunities for both professional and personal development. The candidates are required to have completed flying start post registration requirements. Whilst some haematology/oncology experience is desirable it is not essential. It is a requirement that the successful candidates, if not currently on the SACT register, undertake chemotherapy module training after a period on the ward, funding and support for this is provided.
