To provide expert holistic care and advice to support trauma patients, providing safe and effective care with a positive patient experience. Act as the patients advocate throughout their journey. Assist with Orthopaedic clinical skills in a specialist area of care. Focus on pre-operative optimisation and contribute to the clinical management of all trauma patients admitted to the SRFT site. Act as an expert resource to the multidisciplinary trauma team, by providing specialist advice to support assessment, planning and implementation of care and where appropriate to deliver programmes of care. Provide specialist education and training to clinical staff. To work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team this includes our Orthopaedic Consultant trauma surgeons, service team, Anaesthetics, theatre teams, ward and outpatient staff and other internal and external stakeholders. Participate in the formation, prioritisation of all theatre trauma lists and support the patient's pathway to theatre. Track and facilitate the trauma patient's progress. Take responsibility for own professional development, be accountable for own professional actions, work well independently and within a team, not directly supervised. To support in the development of the trauma service. To ensure that a focus is given to fractured neck of femur patients and monitoring and escalating best practice standards. Support the daily trauma meeting to ensure it is effective and patient focused. "}
