The Finance and Planning Directorate is recruiting for the Director of Finance, Specialised Commissioning. As the Director of Finance, Specialised Commissioning you will lead the Integrated Finance and Planning Business Partner (IFPBP) team supporting the Chief Financial Officer Group and its sub directorates (Finance & Planning, Specialised Commissioning, Medicines Value and Access) in meeting their goals and ensuring that all aspects of the group's financial management and governance are followed. The IFPBP team is the bridge between the project and programme teams in CFO Group and the specialist finance and planning teams. By establishing strong relationships and a good understanding of the programmes, the postholder will ensure the business receives the finance and planning support it needs to improve care for patients. The postholder will have a key role in delivering the objectives of the Specialised Commissioning Directorate including: the ongoing process of delegating certain specialised services to ICBs; oversight of specialised commissioning high cost drugs and devices spend. The post holder has a corporate role as a senior leader in the Finance & Planning directorate and is expect to contribute fully to the operational running of the directorate and its equality and diversity improvement work. You will be a key member of the senior management teams of the directorates that you support, in particular Specialised Commissioning. The team offers high profile, fast-paced projects. This requires adaptability, rigor and innovation and provides exciting development opportunities for those developing their careers in the NHS, health or the public sector.
