Often, people who have a forensic profile feel that they are overlooked. Our forensic services seek to redress this balance, to advocate for this group of people enthusiastically and inclusively. We pride ourselves on working collaboratively with the people who use our services and their carers to ensure that people receive care as close to home as possible and that they don't spend a day longer in secure placements than is necessary. We are seeking a passionate and committed leader to join our Forensic service. You will have a positive and can-do attitude with inspirational leadership which encourages the best out of our team members. The post holder will lead with positivity and energy and will demonstrate a real passion and care for this often-under-represented group of people. The successful candidate will be advocate, support and leader and will ensure that the service operates in a safe, effective & efficient way which puts people at the centre of our decision making. We are part of a Kent, Surrey and Sussex collaborative in the delivery of New Care Models which will ensure that people move appropriately through the secure estate without delays. Surrey will be represented by the post-holder who will be a member of the Operational board and will attend monthly placement panel meetings. We coordinate the care of clients with mental health conditions in the community who are under a restriction order of the MHA (section 42) and we access low, medium and high secure inpatient beds to ensure people are treated well, as locally as possible and within secure services only for as long as is absolutely required. We share our expertise with the wider Trust in order to help in the support and management of a variety of people within the care of SABP. The post holder will lead with positivity and energy and will demonstrate a real passion and care for this often under-represented group of people.
