You will be working alongside ST4+ and ST3 trainees, Specialist Doctors and Consultants providing clinical leadership to all areas of the department, including Paediatrics. Our emergency department has a reputation for both excellent and supportive training as well as an exciting case mix of emergency patients from a diverse population. The Post Offers The Following Opportunities Develop clinical leadership skills including supervising junior trainees Work with a team of supportive and highly motivated Consultants, dedicated to providing high quality teaching and training Gain experience in resuscitation and management of adult and paediatric emergencies, covering a wide range of pathologies and clinical procedures Attending and delivering weekly departmental teaching Time to develop skills in quality improvement and managing clinical risk and governance This is a fixed-term role for minimum of 6 months, up to 48 hours per week, working a mixture of day, late and night shifts on a 1:3 rota. We fully support requests for flexible and less than full time working. The post holder will work undertaking clinical duties as a registrar in Emergency Medicine at NUH including pro-rata out of hours work. They will work in all areas of the department, including Resus, Majors, Paeds, Front door assessment, SDEC and CDU Each post will have a named educational and clinical supervisor. There will be formal educational oversight of the role, with an induction, educational agreement, a personal development plan and regular appraisal.
