The ability to prioritise and structure workload and present a calm and understanding approach at all times is key to this role. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to be able to treat patients with empathy, dignity and respect are essential. Basic computer skills are essential. Previous experience of working with the hospital electronic patient administrative system is preferred but training will be provided. The post holder will need to be able to work 37.5 hours between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.00 pm and will work as part of a wider team including Consultants, Medial Secretaries, Nurses and Health Care Assistants. We have 1 x permanent 1 x Fixed Term to cover secondment (12 months). Part time hours considered. Main duties of the job The post holder will work flexibly across all administrative services to meet service needs which will include reception, appointments, clinic preparation and all office support functions. Working for your organisation The Lingen Davies Centre and O’Connor Haematology Unit Departments care for cancer patients within Out-patient Clinics and Day Units delivering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. You will be working as part of an Administration Team that are caring, friendly and helpful in making a great first impression when patients/visitors arrive at the Departments. The Administration Teams play a vital role in supporting our Health Professionals to provide the very best care.
