Main duties of the job Role specific duties To receive and prepare patients who need to undergo minor oral surgery/orthodontic/restorative procedures. To assist the clinician throughout such treatment, to assist in the supervision of the patient until they are fit to leave the department. To ensure dental surgery duties for the maxillofacial unit are under taken in an efficient and professional manner. Provide Specialist chair side assistance within the department and Reception Providing assistance throughout treatment. Mixing and preparing of materials, dressings and equipment. Care of equipment and reporting issues To undertake general duties associated with the day to day running of the Maxillofacial unit. Ensuring that GDC guidelines on cross infection are conformed to. To assist the clinicians in the Delivery of Care to patients, which will include: Preparation of clinical area prior to start of each session. Receiving and preparing patients for treatment. Observing condition of the patient throughout treatment. To help maintain a clean and tidy environment at all times. Respect every member of the team.
