Role Overview The Clinical Psychologist will be central to the mental health and wellbeing of our students. This role requires a compassionate and experienced professional capable of providing psychological assessments, interventions, and support, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide accurate diagnoses for students with various psychological, emotional, and behavioural issues. Intervention and Therapy: Develop and implement individualized intervention plans, providing therapeutic support using a range of evidence-based approaches suitable for children and adolescents. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and review care plans. Training and Support: Provide training and support to school staff on mental health issues and strategies to support students. Offer guidance and consultation to staff and parents regarding psychological concerns. Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest research and developments in clinical psychology and child mental health. Implement new approaches and techniques to improve student support services. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all practices comply with relevant legal and ethical guidelines. Maintain accurate and confidential records, providing reports as required by the school. Qualifications And Experience A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist. Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or clinical setting. Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
