The Support Worker role involves providing high-quality care and support to clients within a residential or day care setting. You will work closely with the Service Manager and Senior Addiction Workers to deliver personalised assistance tailored to each client's needs. This includes helping clients integrate into the service, understanding their rights and responsibilities, and ensuring their health and well-being are addressed. You will also contribute to developing and implementing care plans, assist with therapeutic group work, and participate in case conferences and other meetings. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks including administering medication under supervision, assisting with clients’ daily living skills, and supporting their educational and spiritual development. You will work on a rota basis, which involves day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. Additionally, you will support clients in building networks and preparing for their transition out of the service. The role requires a recognised Social Care Qualification and the willingness to complete further training, with a preference for experience in social care and addictions. The role also demands a commitment to Christian values, as the work is conducted in Christ’s name. You must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, registered with the SSSC, and uphold the organisation's Christian ethos. This position involves a range of duties aimed at ensuring clients receive comprehensive support while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism.
