Integral to the role is ensuring that national standards are adhered to and changes are implemented. Working to agreed protocols and after training the post holder will undertake nurse led smear clinics and colposcopy clinics. They will support the provision of cover for doctor led colposcopy clinics. The role has responsibility to facilitate effective communication links with the Trust multi-disciplinary teams and meet quality assurance standards. Main duties of the job The busy Benign Gynaecology Outpatients department is seeking an enthusiastic highly motivated nurse with excellent communication skills to work within the Gynaecology clinic as part of a multi disciplinary team. The successful candidate must show the ability to undertake the role of Deputy Nurse Colposcopist. This is a training post. You will undertake a training programme as a band 6, leading to a band 7 on completion of the required competencies.
