As a Engagement worker, your duties will include but not limited to: Assessing the needs of people accessing the support centre and helping people complete housing referral forms and advocate during housing assessment Signposting to specialised support services To complete a referral to case worker when there is an ongoing need to access housing and/or other services To help people access digital services such as Universal Credit, Manchester Move, apply for jobs and other necessary help to access housing To enable access to primary health care, drug and alcohol services and mental health support services To create positive working relationships with external agencies To liaise regularly with all Engagement Workers, Case Workers, and Recovery Manager To maintain up-to-date records of everyone who uses the service, recording on the database To maintain confidentiality and work in line with GDPR and to refer to the Manager for assistance where needed. To be suitable for the role: You must have a minimum of one year experience in support, preferably in accommodation services/homeless services Educated to GSCE level with a preference towards NVQ in care and support Fluent in English and able to communicate with people from all works of life Good IT skills and ability to enter information Able to build rapport and act in a non-judgemental way The perks for you: A brand new 30 hour (over 4 days) role offering a salary of £18 p.a. 5% pension contribution Health care plan to support wellbeing and counselling sessions 18 day per year annual excluding all public and bank holidays If you are interested in this unique opportunity then please apply or email or call to discuss the opportunity further"}
