We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and flexible Paediatric Physiotherapist to join the cardiothoracic physiotherapy team. This is an exciting opportunity for an existing Band 6 or Band 7 Physiotherapist to work into Paediatric Cardiology within the Acute Paediatric Physiotherapy team at the Freeman Hospital. Candidates should have extensive paediatric physiotherapy experience and knowledge. We appreciate that cardiothoracics is a niche and highly specialised area of paediatric physiotherapy therefor it is challenging to gain the essential skills and experience vital to achieve an advanced physiotherapist post within this area. We have devised a development post within the team to support a specialist physiotherapist (Band 6) to develop their skills in the cardiothoracic domain and achieve vital competencies over an 18 month period. On achieving these competencies they will pass through the gateway and become an advanced paediatric physiotherapist (Band 7) in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.
