An exciting opportunity is now available for a trainee ACP (B7) to join the 24h Hyper Acute Sickle Cell Unit (HASCU)at University Hospital Lewisham NHS Trust. The practitioner will also be part of haematology team supporting the consultants on the delivery of care to patients admitted to the hospital. A multidisciplinary team approach will be essential, to support the medical team when HASCU workload allows. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the daily management and auditing processes of the service and interact frequently with relevant stake holders both external and within the organisation. We welcome applications from practitioners with experience in other medical disciplines such as emergency or general medicine. The post holder will have a primary focus on the patients attending the HASCU. On completion of the training as an ACP (MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice) and achieving the competencies of ACP in haematology, will progress to a Band 8a position.
