The Specialist Midwife for Safeguarding will support all activities necessary in maternity services to ensure that the organisation meets its responsibilities to safeguard and protect children and young people. The Midwife will identify and co-ordinate the provision of multidisciplinary care for socially vulnerable women through support, advice and training for staff dealing with complex child protection issues.
