We invite you to participate in one of our assessment centres, where we will assess your numeracy, literacy, listening, and IT skills. Successful candidates will then be invited to interview for a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant (Development) role. All candidates appointed to a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant (Development) role are required to complete the Care Certificate and progress to a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant position within their first 6 months of service. Undertake specific clinical skills relevant to clinical area following training and assessment of competence e.g. performing venepuncture, cannulation and escorting patients. Provides enhanced levels of care to patients requiring additional supervision and support to ensure their personal safety and wellbeing needs are met. Provides supervision and guidance to junior / less-experienced staff.
