This is a casual contract. Duties The play worker will support the Play Co-ordinator in the development and effective running of the after–school club, offering an exciting fun environment to care for our amazing pupils after school. Duties include: Ensuring the delivery of creative play opportunities in a well-organised, safe and caring environment Preparing a suitable programme of activities Responsibility to support the administration of the club, keeping relevant records Preparation of food (snacks) in line with food safety guidelines Ensuring the safety children and adopting safeguarding practices Ensuring that the behaviour of the children is in line with school policies Effective and professional communication with parents, the headteacher and staff Carrying out all responsibilities and activities in accordance with the school’s agreed policies Undertaking any other duties and training that may reasonably be regarded as being commensurate with the grade and general purpose of the post The postholder is accountable to the Play Co-ordinator and the Headteacher.
