The post is fixed term until March 2025 unless additional funding is secured. Monday to Friday 09:00am until 17:30pm The successful candidate will build and establish links with each of the counties allotment associations and two Allotment Federations and to develop an effective and detailed database of the community growing sector in Caerphilly. The role will require you to work with associations, allotment plot holders, contractors, grant funders and other officers to support the allotments to develop, remain compliant with legislation and help map allotment demand. Job Purpose The successful candidate will build and establish links with each of the counties allotment associations and two Allotment Federations and to develop an effective and detailed database of the community growing sector in Caerphilly. The role will require you to work with associations, allotment plot holders, contractors, grant funders and other officers to support the allotments to develop, remain compliant with legislation and help map allotment demand. Key Result Areas Asist with the management of a team of Council and Agency staff responsible for the maintenance of public open spaces, play areas, outdoor facilities, cemeteries or allotments to ensure that the area(s) are as safe as possible and attractive to use. Assist with the effective allocation and management of resources in the relevant geographical or functional area of responsibility including plant and equipment, people and materials. Assist in the maintenance of effective records including timesheets, tick sheets, training records, RAMIS inspections etc. Assist with inductions, manual handling and any other appropriate training in the workplace as directed by the Divisional Management Team.
