Responsibility for the day to day care of patients including assessment and monitoring. Delivery of components of rehabilitation programmes under the authorisation of the qualified practitioner at The Horton General Hospital and the Nuffield Orthopaedic centre. To tailor treatments to individual needs of each patient, applying knowledge learnt through formal learning and experiential learning. To provide information and advice to patients, that adheres to the evidence based approaches used with the pain rehabilitation service. To conduct follow up assessments to evaluate effectiveness of treatment outcome & provide ongoing support to patients. To assist hydrotherapy. To deliver exercise classes for patients with persistent pain under the supervision of a qualified physiotherapist. To deliver guided self-help programmes.
