FPMS has a strong self management & multidisciplinary ethos, and the team is integrated across primary and secondary care, so this post presents an opportunity to experience the diversity of working with a multidisciplinary team that works across both settings. The successful candidate must be qualified or working towards their qualification to SVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in Health/social care. You will have some experience within a care setting and also some experience with a clerical or administrative role. You will be able to demonstrate good keyboard skills and numeracy skills. We are looking for a team player who has the ability to work on their own initiative, shows excellent communication skills, will be sensitive to our patients needs and has a genuine interest in working with patients with a long term pain condition. You are required to be a forward thinking, caring individual, with good communication and IT skills who enjoys working within a team. This role involves providing clinical support to the pain clinicians during client treatment sessions and administrative support to the multi-disciplinary team as well. Clinical and administrative workloads can vary day to day, so you will need to work flexibly between these activities to support the changing needs of our service. A commitment to further education and clinical skills development will be required to meet the ever changing needs of the clinical service. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
