At the nursery we provide childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years old, this vacancy will be in our preschool room, working with the 2-5 year olds, getting them ready for big school. We have the option for the successful candidate to work Full Time (over 4 or 5 days per week) or Part Time (2 days per week) We are a small, ambitious nursery group who continuously invest in our facilities and staff to ensure they receive ongoing training and qualifications, annual appraisals and offer a career path with long term growth and stability. We are looking for people who are passionate about Early Years care and education, and who, as well as bringing their own knowledge and experience to the setting, are keen to continue training and develop their career in childcare. The Preschool Practitioner / Nursery Nurses duties involve; Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the childrens needs. Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning. Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children. Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare. The ideal candidate will; Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe. Have a good knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) - desirable but not essential as training can be provided Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five. - desirable Be qualified at NNEB/NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in childcare - desirable but not essential as training can be provided Be able to work well in a team Our staff work compressed hours over 4 days and will have a set day off a week, giving you a better work / life balance.
