As the Responsible Clinician for patient care, you will lead, coordinate, and ensure effective delivery of care and will complete all statutory duties required for patients, whilst also bringing your professional expertise to this work. We have an amazing new opportunity for an experienced mental health practitioner with a professional background as a clinical psychologist, mental health nurse, social worker or occupational therapist to work as an Approved and Responsible Clinician in Adult Mental Health Acute Inpatient Services at Highbury Hospital in Nottingham. The service has a track record of developing Multi-Professional Approved Clinicians to work in acute, community and rehabilitation settings. The role is established and respected in the service. You will be part of a peer group of established MPACs and we currently have three trainees working under supervision and plan to recruit additional trainees in 2025. We support participation in local and regional peer groups. You will be required to act as Responsible Clinician for a caseload across two inpatient wards. The MDT on each ward includes nurses, consultant psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and psychologists who value the knowledge, skills and experiences their MPAC colleagues bring to the team.
