Are you interested in working within a general hospital environment, providing specialist assessment and treatment for patients with both physical and mental health needs? We now offer a liaison service to not only the Emergency Department, but specialist assessment and guidance throughout all wards on both inpatient units. We are a multi-disciplinary core team of professionals including, Dual Qualified Nurses, Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists, and administrators. Clinical presentations of the patients we support span a wide spectrum from organic disorders, psychosis, self-harm, severe depression or somatoform disorder to adjustment reactions, delirium, dementia, and abnormal health behaviour. We are also able to discuss a relocation package for this post. To provide specialist mental health assessments for working age adult patients and older people within Hampshire Hospitals. To provide psychological support effectively and efficiently to patients with mental health needs who are temporarily in crisis, or who have mental health needs as a result of their physical illness or as a result of being hospitalised. To advise non-psychiatry staff on outcome of assessment and formulate a care plan based on clinical intervention and risk management. To provide time limited liaison reviews when needed for those patients with more complex and enduring mental health needs whilst inpatient in Hampshire Hospital NHS Trust. Work positively and collaboratively as an integral part of the Specialist Adult Mental Health services, Older Peoples Mental Health services and effectively liaise with multi-agency colleagues, patients, and their family and carers. Contribute to the development and quality of clinical practice of liaison work with this client group at local and national levels. To provide mental health education, advice and training to clinical staff and students at Hampshire Hospital NHS Trust. To work various shift patterns participating in a flexible 7 days per week rota on a shift rotational basis. The service operates over a 24hr period. "}
