There are opportunities to also be involved in the Acute Medicine Clinic and AKI Clinic, accepting the full range of acutely unwell patients. Main duties of the job For this Juior Clinical Fellow post, we are looking for a candidate to work both ward shifts (09:00-17:00) and on SDEC (10:00-18:00), normal working days, predominantly on our Medical SDEC unit and possible Acute Medicine Assessment Unit when needed. The purpose of this post is to provide senior leadership to our Medical SDEC unit, Acute Medicine Assessment Unit and clinical teams who work within them. We would be looking for the successful candidate to help lead with service development and exploring ideas to help further the success of our SDEC/AMU department. The Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) has 520 beds and is the city's main teaching hospital. The Out-Patient Department holds Clinics for all the major specialties and deals with 153,600 patients per year. The Hospital's Emergency Department deals with 70% of the City's accident cases. Separate units for Haematology, Oncology, Eye, Dental, Children and Maternity cases are within a radius of a quarter of a mile.
