An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join Ward 4 as a senior Staff Nurse. Ward 4 is a busy Medical ward, caring for children 0 to18 years, under the specialties of Paediatric medicine, gastroenterology, immunology, mental health, respiratory, rheumatology, endocrine and metabolic. There is availability to work part time hours for a fixed term of 6 months with a possibility of a 6 month extension dependant on hours becoming available within the team. The role involves being part of a multi-disciplinary team across Medicine, providing specialist nursing care to the children and young people and their families. The post holder must be motivated, organised, have excellent communications skills as well as being a team player. They must also be able to recognise their own limitations and be able to support others. Medical experience is desirable, but not essential. The post will include shift work involving a mix of days and nights from 07.00-19.30 and 19.00-07.30.
