Main duties of the job Purpose Of Job To provide supervised clinical and administrative support to the nursing and medical staff who will be providing high standards of patient care. To contribute towards the effective running of the department by performing a range of clinical and administration tasks. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES : To ensure that all patients and other members of the public and staff are treated in a polite and considerate manner and receive prompt attention when required. To ensure that any telephone messages or enquiries are conveyed and dealt with in a timely and clear manner. To fulfill administration duties as required. To ensure that all assigned duties both clinical and non clinical are carried out efficiently and effectively. To use the various hospital IT systems in order to assist the nursing and medical staff. To act as a chaperone, and assist the nursing and medical staff with any investigations or procedures. At all times to be aware of the limits of your own levels of competence and at no time attempt tasks above and beyond their abilities and to work within the limits set by departmental policies. To comply with Trust Infection Control Policies at all times. To be aware of hospital policy regarding patient confidentiality and to respect patient’s rights and dignity at all times. To actively adhere to hospital policy regarding incident reporting. To be aware of the complaints procedure.
