The Community Assessment and Treatment Services (CATS) provides rapid access to doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and OTs for primarily frail and/or elderly patients with a strong focus on prevention of hospital admission. Our aim is to maximise opportunities for the people living in our communities to be as independent as possible in what matters to them, living full and active lives within their family circles, social networks, and the workplace. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to support Marlow and Thame CATS as well as across the Buckinghamshire community within clients homescarrying out occupational therapy assessments and treatment. The successful candidate will spend part of their week in the Marlow and the Thame clinic liaising with the multidisciplinary team. Most of their time will be spent in the community. Patients who have seen the doctor, nurse and physiotherapist in clinic are then seen by the occupational therapist within the patient's home. The services run from 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel effectively and independently on a daily basis to and from the base, clients' homes and other venues around the geographical area.
