We are a very friendly team, committed to supporting the needs of military veterans and their families. The service offers assessment and treatment to veterans presenting with military attributable complex mental health issues, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety disorders, substance misuse and/or anger issues. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and compassionate Assistant Psychologist to support with a range of clinical services. Under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, the post holder will support OpCourage in the delivery of assessment and treatment across the West Midlands region. The individual will have excellent opportunities to gain experience of multilevel and integrated service provision and to further develop skills of complex case assessment, formulation and the application of evidence based psychological interventions, both individual and in groups. It is desirable to have experience of working with service users experiencing complex mental health difficulties, and those who, for a variety of reasons, may find it difficult to ask for help and/or engage with mainstream mental health services.
